Counter Terrorism Protective Security Course
Euro-Protect is a joint venture between NaCTSO and Avon and Somerset Constabulary funded by th
e European Commission. It aims to address the key challenge of how to protect Europe from the threat of terrorism through partnership with the commercial and private sectors.
The first conference in 2007 was highly successful. Further events have included a Hostile Vehicle Mitigation course which was attended by 17 European Community member states and a two week long Protective Security course in Bristol.
The training is intended for counter terrorism practitioners and will give practical guidance on how to identify vulnerabilities at key locations, how to survey sites and deliver structured and risk commensurate protective security advice.
This years' event was held between 4th and 8th April 2011 and was attended by delegates from 12 member states.
